Jason Lock, General Manager

Jason Lock literally grew up in the restaurant industry as the son of a renowned James Beard Award winning Chef. Jason’s formal training began at the age of six washing dishes in one of his father’s restaurants to lessons in fine dining and table-side service all before he was a teenager. Jason eventually stepped out on his own working at a few restaurants in Seattle.

Jason joined Wild Ginger in the early 1990’s, starting as a server and working his way up to manager before he left in 1997 to pursue a career outside of the restaurant industry. Jason spent eleven years as a Financial Advisor and Wealth Management Advisor with Piper Jaffray and Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Client Group.

Realizing that the hospitality industry was his true passion Jason returned to industry in 2008 to join the opening management team of a fine dining restaurant in Bellevue, WA. In 2009 an opportunity came up for Jason to return to Wild Ginger as a manager. Jason was promoted to General Manager of The Triple Door a few months later.

Jason holds a Finance and International Business degree from the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business and has over 25 years of professional experience in hospitality and business.

Prior to cutting his teeth in New York, he enjoyed stints as an English teacher in Japan, game software tester for Microsoft and as a ski shop manager for Olympic Sports.

Brian holds a political science degree from the University of Washington and is the grandson of late Seattle composer, George Frederick McKay.

Rachel Luchsinger, Manager

Rachel grew up in Twin Falls, ID and has been in the restaurant industry for 18+ years.   Her love of music runs deep.  Her father was a radio DJ and exposed her to all types of music at a very young age.  From him she learned how a song makes a memory, and the importance of music in our everyday lives.   After graduating high school in the age of flannel, she decided to pack her bags and move to the ultimate grunge mecca, Seattle.  It was here that her restaurant experience flourished as she found a way to fund school at several different restaurants in the PNW.

There isn’t a position in the restaurant that she has not done, from washing dishes to managing the floor Rachel thrives on the fast pace of the restaurant.  So naturally, when she was hired at The Triple Door it was a dream come true with the perfect combination of food and music.  If you ask Rachel what her favorite thing about The Triple Door is she will reply, “Everyday is different, Every show is different, and I love the diversity of the venue.  I’ve seen everything from John Densmore sharing intimate Jim Morrison stories to Eddie Vedder and Dave Grohl getting on stage to jam with Mike Watt.  One thing is for certain, there is never a dull moment, and I love that.”

Ross Piper, Production Manager

Ross has been with Triple door in some capacity since 2009. Hailing from the heartland he is a proud Wisconsinite though under the influence of his grandfather has a deep love of Detroit sports usually donning the olde English D, Honolulu blue and has designs to immortalize the Red Wings by tattooing their logos on his feet, a misguided notion that the Mercurial markings will make him look faster. The only other lasting passion has been music. Growing up in the rurals without the aid of a record store he spent his Sunday nights in the basement listening to rebroadcasts of KROQ's top 50, recording the weekly show onto cassettes. Eventually stumbling into the world of punk rock he found new favorite bands through compilations, mail ordering full lengths directly from the small labels and in some cases bands themselves. These days it's everything from the Misfits to Godspeed you! Black Emperor to Bon Iver to Parts and Labor. As the production manager he is only able to watch snippets of the shows he helps produce but is constantly humbled to work with and in many cases be introduced to many of the eclectic acts who perform on our stage.
