Brea Fournier & the Dream Ballet Band

Mainstage Theatre, 216 Union Street, Seattle

Brea Fournier & the Dream Ballet is a New York City-based four-piece pop-rock/pop-punk band. Composed of graduates from top East Coast music schools the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and The New School, this eclectic collective’s sound has been described as “Paramore, but in the ‘80s” and “Joan Jett attitude meets Joni Mitchell lyricism.”

In 2022, the Dream Ballet recorded their upcoming debut rock opera Manic Pixie Dream Girl! with producer Barb Morrison, whose roster includes Franz Ferdinand and Blondie, engineer Jeremy Kinney (FLETCHER), and mastering engineer Randy Merrill (Lady Gaga/Olivia Rodrigo). The unapologetically bold concept album tells the story of the titular Manic Pixie Dream Girl through the lens of post-Me Too era feminism as she fights to prove to both her audience––and herself––that she is more than the indie film archetype men have written her to be. The twelve tracks and interludial monologues also serve as source material for the corresponding theatrical stage production of the same name, as well as the upcoming musical feature film. The album’s first single “Petty Stuff” was released in May 2023, amassing thousands of streams in its first week and garnering much critical acclaim on social media and in journalistic outlets such as Melody Maker.

The Dream Ballet is a regular fixture in New York City's legendary and historical music venues such as The Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bowery Electric, and Pete's Candy Store. As members of Brooklyn’s indie rock scene, they also frequent underground venues like Highside Workshop.

With the album on the way and a growing list of successful shows under their belt, Brea Fournier & the Dream Ballet are elated by their growing success and ecstatic to bring their live shows to fans all across the country.
