Mark Hurwitz is a three-time nominee for best Piano/Keyboard by the Washington Blues Society, and this year was nominated for Best Performer and the Lifetime Achievement Award. He recently played a series of shows in Seoul, Korea with leading Korean blues and jazz musicians. His band specialzies in jump blues, an upbeat style with elements of swing and jazz, but also plays soul, r&b, and roots rock. They maintain a busy schedule of club dates around Washington State, and have performed at many major festivals and events, including Bite of Seattle, Northwest Folklife, Gorge Blues and Brews, The Peninsula Blues Festival and the Sunbanks Festival.
